I'm sure she's out there somewhere — the daughter who can pull off absurd and creamy MAC Pinkish 4 Fri Lipstick ($xiv.50) all by itself. And wherever y'all are, you gorgeous princess (or prince) of great makeup fortune, I salute yous (and pump my fist in the air, Jersey Shore fashion)!

The extremely limited-edition colour, just 4 days (!) in this earth, is a collaboration between MAC and hip-hop creative person Nicki Minaj (to coincide with the release of her new album, Pink Fri).

MAC loves to burn down up their fetishists (similar me) with hard-to-snare products. I can't assistance it, and I think in that location's an element of human nature behind the phenomenon, just knowing that the color won't be bachelor for very long does brand me want it fifty-fifty more.

There's only 1 manner to option upward Pink four Friday, and that's online, and only on exactly two more dates — Friday, Dec ten and Friday, December 17 — beginning at midnight Eastern Time on each of the dates and lasting 24 hours. Sadly, the start two Fridays already came and went (November 26 and December 3). 🙁

I gotta exist honest — I loves me some Nicki Minaj (got Pink Fri on echo right now), simply this flossy, pale pastel pink'south not a cinch to wear.

Don't become me wrong. I think it looks totally legit on Nicki. She'due south got the style, later all, rockin' those technicolor baby doll outfits, but on me…? It looks total-on cra-zay-zay!

Still, I call back I've figured out a couple tricks to wearing information technology in the real earth…

Offset by priming and moisturizing your lips with a lip balm. Then, line and fill them in with a neutral lip pencil in a darker pink, rose or brownish. That adds some warmth and depth to the look.

In the pic above I used the pinkish brown MAC Lip Pencil in Spice ($13), just I considered MAC Dervish (a pinkish mauve), MAC Pink Treat (a deep cool pink), MAC Sublime Civilisation (a warm pink brownish) and the new Urban Decay 24/seven Glide-On Lip Pencils.

After filling in your lips, dab Pinkish 4 Friday from the tube. Dabbing/pressing the tube lays downward less product than sliding it does, which in this case produces a stain-similar natural end (slicking the lips with the tube would eolith a lot more than paint).

Last, just not least, dab a sheer lipgloss like MAC Articulate Lipglass ($14.fifty) right at the center of both lips. The spot will catch the light and create the illusion of a plumper pout.
